I am extremely excited to announce the Future of Mobile
The one day event is focused not only on where we are today, but to look at how mobile technology is transforming our lives and what the short and long-term future holds for one of the most pervasive and powerful information mediums we have ever seen.
The event will be held on November 14th 2007 at the IMAX Cinema in Waterloo, London. A conference pass is only £89 (or about $180 USD).
Be sure to register quickly in order to get your seat.
The conference is being put on by our good friends at Carson Workshops. I have been fortunate enough to chair the event as well as emcee the proceedings.
I am ecstatic about the lineup of speakers that have already agreed to join us (and there are more to come). They form a cross section of the mobile community that have both the practical experience in the field as well as the insight to look beyond the existing constraints and paint a realistic picture of what the future will hold.
Some of the topics that will be covered throughout the day:
- Discuss mobile of today – the state of the marketplace
- Look at the mobile market – the existing and future potential
- The Future of Mobile Standards – and how the platform is moving toward standardization
- The Future of Mobile Devices – the constraints, frustrations and the future
- The Future of the Mobile Web – advance browsing, Mobile Ajax, and the future of the Web.
- The Future of Mobile Browsers – which browers will people use?
- The Future of Messaging – what role does it have to play?
- Mobile Social Network – where is everyone at?
- Widgets and their place in the future of mobile
