Written as a follow-up to his resetting of base styles, this article dives into the maddening inconstitancey on how form controls are handled between browsers. It gives a good explanation on the technical end that makes form controls so difficult to style with CSS and raises a lot of questions on how controls are handled.
In the end there are no real answers to getting your forms to look the right way across all browsers. There is always going to be some oddness between browsers until a standard is agreed upon. If you choose to jump in the pool though, it’s good to know what you can and can’t do.
